Hello, I’m Lucinda Emilie, and I am an artist. But you may call me Lou, Lou-lou, or Lucy. (Or whatever else you feel like as long as it’s not offensive.)
I’m 16, Gemini, from Adelaide, Australia.
Words to describe me are, nerdy, arty, creative, lovable, strange, musical, unusual, quiet, adorable, funny, weird, slightly macabre.
My favourite words are melancholy and discombobulate.
I love Victorian, Vintage, Gothic, Burlesque, Masquerade, Lolita and Steampunk fashion and corsets, peircings and tattoos, but leave it up to other people to modify their bodies as they please. My hair is usually pink. I love the colour pink. And purple.
I aspire to become a costume designer one day and work alongside Tim Burton and with Colleen Atwood. Life’s goal. I mean it. If it can’t be that then it shall be the theatre and cinema costumes business.
Tim Burton, Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter are so inspiring to me and they make the most perfect movie trio ever. (Bonus points if you throw Danny Elfman in there.)
Emilie Autumn, P!nk, Panic! at the Disco, Florence + the Machine, My Chemical Romance, One Eyed Doll, Fall Out Boy, Lady Gaga, Gypsy and the Cat, Good Charlotte, the Wombats, Robots in Disguise, Regina Spektor, Paloma Faith, Linkin Park, The Dresden Dolls, The Birthday Massacre, Mika, Tori Amos, A Day to Remember, but I especially love soundtracks and Danny Elfman because I like to live in my own fictional world than reality, sometimes.
If it weren’t for Tim Burton, Helena Bonham Carter, Johnny Depp, Noel Fielding and Emilie Autumn and my oh so lovely, amazing, beautiful friends, I would not be the person I am today.
I love art of every type, painting, drawing, crafts of all sorts, makeup, writing and costuming and sewing. It keeps me occupied and entertained and I just love every second of getting the opportunity to be creative. I can play cello and violin, but I cannot sing, nor dance nor act. I get terrible stage fright unless I’m in some sort of costume such as cosplay, as I do a fair bit, I’m a furry and I fursuit. (I will not go “yiff in Hell”, thank you very much, you judgemental person.)
I’m not afraid of standing alone or stating my opinion. I know who I am. I live my life and am very grateful for the life I have been given. I am not ashamed of myself and nothing you say or do will ever get in my way. (Did you hear that, Anons!?)
I have never gone through depression or self harm, and I will likely be one of the most strong hearted and willed, straight minded and delightful people you will ever come across.
Please, if you every have any problems or any sort, do not hesitate to come to me. I will be here. You only ever have to ask for help, and it will always be here for you.
I hate how society is so blind.
I’m sure we will get along just fine and I do hope we can chat again sometime in the future.
More of my personality is still to be revealed as you and myself as you view this blog. I hope you will learn something interesting.
I like Harry Potter, Merlin, Friendship is Magic, Big Bang Theory, Alice in Wonderland, Supernatural, The Mighty Boosh, Noel Fielding’s Luxury Comedy, Lord of the Rings, Doctor Who, The Inbetweeners, The IT Crowd, Mongrels, Neopets, Pokemon, Daria, and Tim Burton movies, and a lot of BBC. (And much more!)
I mainly blog anything to do with Tim Burton, Gothic Art and photography, costumes, makeup and fashion, corsets, Emilie Autumn, Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Alice in Wonderland, wolves, and animals, surrealism and other forms of art. My blog is my form of self expression as it is for many people, feelings, thoughts and views may be told through what I post.
Enjoy my blog and thank you for taking the time to read this.
~ Lucinda. xo
